Staffin Crusader Group for P2 to P7 pupils
The group meets on a Tuesday afternoon at Staffin Primary School from 15:15 until 16:30. A typical meeting starts with juice & biscuits followed by an action packed game involving the whole group. The group is then split into junior primary children & senior primary children. Each week the groups take it in turns to listen to either a bible story, video or drama followed by a time of discussion. Occasionally we have a guest speaker. Further games are played with each group and the younger group tend to do artwork each week whilst the older group prefer to play further games and only do artwork occasionally.
Our annual events include a Crusader fax quiz where we compete against other groups in Scotland, the Christmas party and a summer camp. For the past two years we've enjoyed camping over the first weekend of the summer holiday with children from P4 to P7, followed by a senior camp for children who have moved on to high school. We try to do something special at Easter time and also at the last meeting before the summer holidays where we say farewell to those leaving primary school.
